The Town of Narrows is seeking an experienced professional to serve as Town Manager, the chief administrative officer responsible for the efficient administration of all municipal affairs placed under the manager’s authority by the Town Council and applicable law.
The Town Manager is responsible for carrying out Council policies, overseeing municipal operations, managing town personnel, and administering the town’s financial and operational functions. The manager is also responsible for ensuring all laws, ordinances, resolutions, and bylaws of the Council are faithfully enforced. In addition, The Town Manager represents Narrows to federal and state agencies and serves on various local and regional boards representing the town.
Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, political science, or a related field; or equivalent education and experience. Experience in municipal government, public administration, or administrative management and demonstrated experience in budgeting, personnel supervision, and organizational leadership are essential. The person selected for this position would be required to reside within the corporate limits of the Town of Narrows.
