Governor Ralph Northam has declared a state of emergency in response to the spreading coronavirus (COVID-19). In an effort to prevent spread of this virus, the Town of Narrows is taking the following precautions.
Effective immediately, the Town of Narrows Recreation Department and the Iris Brammer Public Library will be closed until April 1st. At that time, the situation will be re-evaluated a decision made on future action.
All Recreation sponsored activities are cancelled, as is any public use of the building. Staff will be cleaning and sanitizing the buildings and equipment. If you have questions, Recreation Department staff can still be reached at 726-2961.
Library materials can be returned to the book drop in front of the library. Please contact the library at 726-2884 if you have any questions.
The Town of Narrows offices at 210 Main Street will remain open. The office is staffed, and employees may be reached at 726-2423.
The Town is taking every possible precaution to protect both our employees and the citizens of Narrows. We appreciate your understanding during this unprecedented time.
